Grant Thornton is pleased to announce Mark D’Angelica has joined the Corporate Tax team as a Partner in our Adelaide office.

Commencing in early May, Mark brings nearly 20 years of experience as a tax specialist across Big 4 firms and both domestic corporate and multinational companies.

Mark’s extensive expertise in income tax, stamp duty, GST and VAT, transfer pricing, and employment taxes has established him as a trusted advisor to executive teams, board members and shareholders on a broad range of taxation matters.

Mark also possesses strong experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly regarding the application of the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax (PRRT) legislation, state ad valorem royalties, excise regime, and income tax matters affecting organisations within the Energy, Resources, and Renewables sector.

“I’m excited to join Grant Thornton and bring my corporate, not-for-profit, and professional services experience to the team. My goal is to support clients and add value to organisations on their growth journey,” said Mark D’Angelica, Partner at Grant Thornton.

“Mark is a welcome addition to the Adelaide Tax team, who are looking forward to collaborating with him. Mark’s passion, particularly in the energy and resources and not-for-profit sectors, alongside his unique blend of corporate and professional experience, will be invaluable when guiding clients on their strategic tax decisions,” says David Hawkes, Partner & Head of Tax – Adelaide.

In addition to his corporate and professional services experience, Mark is also passionate about assisting not-for-profit entities with their tax strategies, and is the Treasurer of ComItEs South Australia, an elected not-for-profit organisation in the local Italian community.
