Valuations
Tim is a Director in Grant Thornton's Sydney Valuations Practice, where he provides appraisals for a wide range of purposes including disputes, fairness opinions, financial reporting, tax, and restructuring.
Tim specialises in dispute valuations and delivers large and complex valuations for expert determination, litigation (high courts in the UK, Australia, and overseas), and international arbitration purposes. He provides these services globally across a wide range of sectors. His current role in Corporate Finance enables him to bring a commercial perspective to his dispute engagements.
Tim is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), a CFA Charterholder, and holds a first-class Mathematics degree. He commenced his career at a Big 4 firm, working across Assurance, Forensics, and Valuations. Choosing to focus on valuations for dispute purposes, Tim joined Forensics at Grant Thornton UK and worked on some of the largest and most high-profile disputes globally. In August 2023, Tim relocated to Australia, joining the Corporate Finance division of Grant Thornton, seeking to expand his skills and gain a greater international perspective.
