Director – Corporate Tax
Edward has over 15 years of experience of providing tax compliance and advisory services to financial services entities both in Australia and the UK. Edward’s experience covers a wide range of financial services entity types including managed funds, superannuation funds, insurance companies, banks and their related services providers.
Edward’s technical experience includes a range of specialist areas including managed investment trusts, operational and withholding taxes, FATCA and CRS reporting as well as broader tax compliance and advisory engagements.
Edward is passionate about providing proactive solutions to help clients understand and manage their tax obligations and interpret the complex world of tax legislation.
Experience
- Tax compliance and advisory work for a range of managed fund structures, including advising on fund structuring, fund tax compliance obligations, and investor reporting requirements in respect of complex underlying investment structures.
- Experience providing FATCA and CRS compliance and advisory services including the development of FATCA and CRS governance frameworks and testing of FATCA and CRS processes and controls.
- Experience in the provisions of tax compliance and advisory services to complex Australian financial services groups including helping clients to navigate the additional reporting and compliance requirements from Significant Global Entity and Country by Country reporting entity status.
- Significant experience supporting clients with ATO interaction in relation to Private Binding Ruling requests and Combined Assurance Reviews.
