Adam has significant experience delivering risk-based internal audit, risk management, compliance, project assurance and performance improvement reviews. His exposure to local and international clients across various sectors has given him a unique blend of experience and pragmatism when identifying improvement opportunities for his clients. He is outcome-driven and focused on building engaging partnerships with his clients.

With over 12 years of experience, Adam has led numerous internal audit and risk management engagements within the Financial, Manufacturing, Real Estate and Retail sectors and has developed a strong focus within the Public and NFP sectors – including local government, disability support services, research, membership bodies, education and community housing.

Adam has strong experience in managing teams in the successful delivery of a variety of internal audit and risk-based engagements. He is highly respected by his peers, allowing him to harness the complete potential of the entire team and provide greater value to the clients being served. Adam is also passionate about team development and has been the lead in facilitating and overseeing Risk Consulting’s technical training program.

As an active member of the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA), having completed the Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing, as well as being part of the IIA’s Professional Development and Training Steering Committee, Adam is always abreast of key trends and issues.

Experience

• Internal audit – Implementation and management of internal audit programs (both co-sourced and fully outsourced), assessment of internal controls, process mapping, quality assurance of internal audit activities and working with Boards and Audit & Risk Committees
• Risk management – Implementation and assessment of Risk Management Frameworks / Strategies / Registers / Appetite Statements, risk maturity assessments and Board / Management / Audit & Risk Committee reporting
• Quality assurance – Assessment of internal audit activities against the Standards (Institute of Internal Auditors) and identify better practice to enhance internal audit functions
