Round 5 of the Made in Queensland grant program is set to open in the next few months.
Contents

With a top up of $40m, for funding over the next two years, the program targets small and mid-sized (SMEs) Queensland based manufacturers to increase international competitiveness, productivity, and innovation through the adoption of new technologies.

Round 5 guidelines are due for release soon, and we don’t anticipate significant changes to those in place for Round 4. Grants are available on a ‘matched funding’ basis, reimbursing up to 50% of eligible project costs. Regional projects with a value of up to $500,000 can claim up to 75% of eligible project costs.

As in Round 4, we expect grants of between $50,000 and $2.5m to be available to eligible companies.

Eligibility

  • Based on the eligibility requirements from Round 4, eligible applicants must:
  • Be a Queensland-based business in the manufacturing sector.
  • Be registered for GST, with an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Be an SME with between five and 200 full-time equivalent employees located in Queensland.
  • Have a proposed eligible project.
  • More information can be found here.
