Our Brand Ambassador Jess Fox’s skills in whitewater, adaptation to rapidly changing conditions and negotiation of upstream and downstream challenges resonates deeply in professional services, and she personifies our brand promise ‘Reach for Remarkable’ in everything she achieves.

There are many parallels that can be drawn between her sport of canoe slalom and doing business with our clients. We’ve gathered the top five lessons Jess has taught us about growth mindset, having a long-term view, welcoming challenges, being adaptable and prioritising reflection.

1.

Growth mindset.

“During the Olympics, the moment was so big. I had a choice: crumble and not perform as I’d like or seize the opportunity. Reminding myself that I could achieve something remarkable kept me going.”

2.

A long-term view.

“Being elected to the IOC Athlete’s Commission is a huge honour and comes with a lot of responsibility. It’s an incredible opportunity to make an impact and support the athlete community, especially as we look toward to Brisbane 2032."

3.

Welcome the challenge.

“Pressure is a privilege. It all comes down to that one moment. I worked hard to mentally embrace the moment, stay focused and ultimately enjoy the experience.”

4.

Adaptability, always.

“In our sport, every race and course is different. So, there’s an element of – let’s see how good I can be today.”

5.

Prioritise reflection.

"Be open to the learnings from those moments that challenge you on your journey, acknowledge the little wins along the way, and make sure to enjoy the moment when you reach a big milestone."

We’re thrilled to be continuing our Brand Ambassadorship with Jess into 2025 and are excited to see what other lessons we can learn from her. Our team strives to deliver proven expertise, principled execution in personalised experiences, inspired by Jess's dedication to achieving her own sporting goals.
