Vacation Program
Get involved in real work!  You will gain experience working with real clients in a professional environment.  You will have the opportunity to put to good use all that theory from university and also learn on the fly with Grant Thornton team members.  Our international network will introduce you to concepts and techniques which can be used both in Australia and overseas and we provide the opportunity for you to understand how a professional services firm operates.

You will be allocated a buddy upon commencement of your vacation placement, and our comprehensive software training and introductory sessions serve as a springboard for you to get the most out of your summer vacation placement. 

Vacation positions span our various service lines including Audit & Assurance, Business Transformation (including Business Risk Services, Consulting and Workforce Advisory), Corporate Finance, Privately Held Business, Recovery & Reorganisation and Tax Services.

Our Vacation program provides the opportunity for you to join us for a 4 or 8 week placement over summer to experience working in your preferred division. Our 4 week vacation programs will run in either November/December 2012 or January/February 2013. Our 8 week vacation program is a split program of 4 weeks in November/December 2012 and a further 4 weeks in January/ February 2013.

Can you apply for our Vacation Program?
To be eligible for the Vacation Program, you must be a permanent resident in Australia and in your penultimate year of study at university.

In all service lines besides Business Risk Services, Workforce Advisory and Consulting you must be CA eligible. 

• Business Risk Services placements are open to applicants from Commerce/Business or Information Technology degrees
• Consulting is open to applicants from all disciplines
• Workforce Advisory applicants must have a major in Human Resource Management

Applications and closing date
Applications for the 2012/2013 Vacation Programs will open in mid July 2012 and only be accepted online. Applications will be open until all positions are filled, however no applications will be accepted after 5pm Wednesday 15 August 2012.
